Specialty excipients, like "surface treated" and/or "granulated" calcium or silicate products, provide catalytic and aesthetic enhancements like binding, taste and texture. When blended with other specialty, non-active ingredients, excipients can deliver valuable functional attributes, like particle disintegration or time release, which allow drug marketers to explore new selling messages.
